Maureen A. Kelly M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Kelly is a board certified pediatrician who completed her residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. She has been practicing pediatric medicine since 1993. Dr. Kelly is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, Michigan State Medical Society, Oakland County Medical Society, and the Irish and American Pediatric Society. Dr. Kelly is an Assistant Professor at Oakland University-William Beaumont School of Medicine. She has once again been recognized as a “Mom-Approved Doc” by Metro Parent magazine in 2018, 2017, and 2016, and chosen by the Consumers’ Research Council of America as one of “America’s Top Pediatricians”. She is the recipient of the Patient Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award. In 2012, Dr. Kelly was recognized by the American Medical Association for her commitment to the organization for 20 years. Dr. Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her interests include tennis, boating, gardening, traveling, the Detroit Tigers, U of M football, and rescuing wildlife.
Azra Hakimi M.D., F.A.A.P
Dr. Azra Hakimi is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a graduate of MGM Medical College, India. She completed her pediatric residency as St. John Hospital Medical Center in 1988. She has worked for several years as an acute care pediatrician at Ascension Urgent Care. She is also currently working at a teaching facility at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. She is taking both existing and new patients and enjoys all areas of pediatrics, with special interest in growth, development, and treatment of Asthma. Her goal is to assist families with their child’s development in order to help them transition into healthy adults.
Val Alef, DNP, RN, FNP-C
Val has been a nurse for over 26 years and a nurse practitioner working in primary care pediatrics for the past 20 years. She has 3 kids ages 9-15. Val enjoys working out, reading a good book, and spending time with her family. She loves her job because she gets to interact with kids, parents, and teenagers. She helps them, along with their parents, to promote health and prevent illness. Additionally, she says that the relationships she forms are the best reward.
